· Award Interpretation & Pay Conditions Engine
Advanced Award Interpretation & Pay Conditions Engine Maplewood Bookkeeping’s powerful pay conditions engine automates payroll calculations for Employment Awards and Enterprise Agreements (EAs), eliminating any human errors. Combined with rostering and time and attendance features, businesses are also able to remove any double-handling. The pay conditions engine allows business to set their unique payroll scenario - whether it is a variation to an award rule set or a unique overtime calculation.
· Employee portal
Employees can log in to their portal through any web enabled device and create timesheets based on units produced, hours worked or start and finish times. Managers will then be notified so they can review and approve the timesheet ready for payment. The best bit? When staff are onboarding they have the ability to enter their own details, TFN, bank accounts, super fund and can maintain this data themselves throughout their employment. The onboarding process becomes seamless and as the business owner you are no longer printing out forms and chasing them up when they don’t come back to you!

Single Touch Payroll – are we there yet?
Single Touch Payroll is a change in the way employers report their PAYG and super information to the ATO. Employers with 20 or more employees will now be required to report PAYG and super after payroll has been processed, rather than previously reporting monthly or quarterly. In addition to PAYG, super information must now be reported, which previously wasn’t required.
Our payroll system was endorsed by the ATO as Single Touch Payroll compliant in time for the July 1 deadline. We’re ready and equipped to help you with your STP reporting needs.
And finally, yes, it integrates to Xero and many other accounting programs as well. Our platform provides a deep integration into Xero that lets you import your chart of accounts and post draft or published payroll journal entries directly into Xero after you have finalised your pay run.
